Autumn Photography Paradise
The Schwarzseerunde is a dreamlike photo hike or almost a walk, especially in autumn. The dark water of the Schwarzsee near Kitzbühel offers the ideal conditions for good reflection photos.
In addition, there are many deciduous trees around the lake, which really glow in orange and yellow in autumn.
It is also extremely advantageous that you can see the Wilder Kaiser as well as the Kitzhorn from here.
You can easily walk around this small loop with your family and also with your dog.
The best weather for this loop is when it is cloudy but not completely raining. Otherwise the drops will distort the reflection.
A map with all the photo spots can be found at the end of this article.

Reflection photos wherever you look
Because of the beach, there is a large car park here, which is also free. Not far from here is the entrance to the lido, where the first photo spots are already to be found.
You can see the Alpenhotel Kitzbühel right through the reeds on the other side of the shore with the Kitzhorn in the background.
But the lido house itself, which is built of wood, is also a good motif.
However, I would go over the bridge and photograph the restaurant and also the lido house from there. This part is peppered with photo spots.
The gabled house in white and the black beams as well as the reeds and the tall grass leave almost nothing to be desired.

Time for Panorama shots
If you then turn towards the Kitzhorn, you can see almost the entire lake. From here I recommend taking panoramic photos.
The perfect reflection with the colourful trees and the Kitzhorn create the perfect composition.
If you then continue along the path, after a few hundred metres you come to a wooden footbridge that leads through the reeds.
Here you can wonderfully photograph the yellow deciduous trees and birch trees also blend in well with the orange landscape.

Across the next wooden footbridge
If you then walk along the other side, you will eventually come to another wooden footbridge. Don't leave right away, because just before the footbridge you can take a really great picture of this wooden path with the orange reeds on the left and right.
There are also many birch trees here, which blend wonderfully into the landscape. Please always stay on the path, however, as this area is also inhabited by beavers.
After this part, the trail goes through the forest. Shortly after the beginning, I would turn right onto the forest path, as there are many moss-covered trees here and also roots on the ground. A good change from all the colourfulness.

A final part that is worthwhile
After the forest section, you pass the Alpenhotel Kitzbühel. This part is briefly on the road, although you can also see a great photo spot on the edge here.
Here you see a yellow deciduous tree amidst the reeds and with orange beech trees in the background. This composition makes for a wonderfully warm photo.
If you don't turn right immediately, but continue straight ahead, you will come to one of the most famous photo spots in the region. It is even marked with a large frame. Here you see a small hut in front of the Schwarzsee and in the background you can see the Wilder Kaiser. Well, you can see it if there aren't too many clouds blocking the view.
Then go next to the restaurant, where you can take another great panoramic photo and the boats with the autumn trees also make a splendid photo.
