The Kitzbüheler Horn and a beautiful ascent
The car park is quite high up at the Hochfeldalm. It is free of charge and there is usually a free space.
When you get out, you have several photo opportunities. To the north you can see the Wilder Kaiser and the valley, and behind you the Kitzhorn with a magnificent flower meadow in front of it.
Then you hike up the forest. The path leads through thick forest and you cross several wooden bridges and footbridges.
Beautiful lake with numerous photo spots
The Schlosserbergsee is an insider tip among hikes with many photo spots. Landscape photographers will have fun here.
Many beautiful views await you and also a bathing lake with a free wellness programme. But more about that later.
A map with all the photo spots can be found at the end of this article.

The Wild Kaiser in all its glory
When you reach the highest point of the hike, you have a beautiful flower meadow in front of you and another wonderful view of the Wilder Kaiser.
Yes, up to this point there has been a lot of landscape photography, but there are motifs waiting for the macro photographers.
Afterwards, you follow the bike path for a short while until you can turn right.

A clearing, deer watching and numerous flowers
On this path you will soon come to a small clearing overgrown with ferns in which a single tree stands. A wonderful photo motif.
A short time later you reach a larger clearing overgrown with herbs. Here you can observe deer early in the morning.
If you continue along the path, you will come to a snow cannon station where there are countless flowers. Among them is the purple English lavender. Told you there was something for macro photographers.

Reflection of the Wilder Kaiser and dreamlike mountain lake
After a bend, you finally reach the Schlosserbergsee lake. Right at the beginning you have this magnificent view of the Wilder Kaiser, where you can take great reflection photos when there is no wind.
Another plus is the lake itself. Great for swimming, little fish nibble off the old skin and give you a free wellness programme with a view, and all around the lake there are photo spots with different motifs. You can find them on the map below.

All photo spots for you at a glance
If you are planning to visit this wonderful place with all the photo spots I heartily recommend, I have marked all the points on the map for you.
If you have found other beautiful places to photograph, please feel free to send them to me via the contact form and I will add them to the map (with a mention, of course).

Relaxed back to the Hochfeldalm
When you've had your fill of splashing around, you can make your way back, which is almost the same as the way up.
The many meadows offer a great opportunity to take photos of people or man's best friend.
Once you've reached the bottom, you can round off the hike with a coffee or whatever you fancy at the Hochfeldalm and then head home. There must be some nice photos to develop.
