Streams, farms and an idyllic panorama

You cycle up and find a new motif every few metres. From small waterfalls and mountain streams to stables in the middle of the meadow with a mountain background, everything can be found.

My highlights so far have been the waterfall down by the Weißache river, a small stable in the bend with a view of the Kitzhorn, the mystical stream right next to the road in the forest and, of course, the stable with farm in the background and the whole thing crowned by the Wilder Kaiser in the background. But you can find all the spots on the map below.

It's exhausting that you always have to stop on your bike, and not infrequently on the steep road, but it's worth it!

Panorama bike tour with many photo spots

Here I have the right tour for e-bike and mountain bike fans. There are countless photo locations and spots to photograph the beautiful panorama. But that's not all. An almost 30 km long loop in the Wilder Kaiser idyll awaits us.

Starting at the mountain railway, we pass the beautiful apartment hotel Landhof. Just behind it is a wonderful old farm in the middle of the flower meadow. In the background is the Wilder Kaiser. But please only take photos in the meadow when it has been mown.

You can find a map with all the photo spots at the end of this article.

Flower meadows and dreamlike photo spots

You curve up into the heights and everywhere you look there are flower meadows, mountains and beautiful photo spots like alpine pastures, farms and even a feeding place for deer. Let yourself be inspired by your surroundings and experiment.

Maybe take a photo from very close to the ground with the flowers or even beautifully lined up trees. The whole thing is even better to photograph with a few clouds in the sky.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained, is what I say. The Hartkaiser with its central location keeps you away from the saddle, as there are places to photograph everywhere. So plan enough time and enjoy.

Photographing the Wilder Kaiser in a versatile way

If you go in the direction of Zinsberg instead of the peak of the Hartkaiser, you come to a reservoir that reflects the Wilder Kaiser so beautifully when there is no wind. Unfortunately, it was empty this time due to construction work. What a pity!

However, there are benches everywhere with wonderful places to take really beautiful photos of the Wilder Kaiser. Find a foreground motif or use the fir trees as guidelines. Then the photo will be successful and you will have the whole mountain in the picture.

You can also find good spots behind the Zinsberg to photograph a farm. You can find this on the map.

Panorama into the Brixental - almost there!

You're almost halfway there. In the bend before the last steep section you have a perfect view of the Brixen valley. You will find more good motifs when you turn around. From here you can get a good view of the Kitzbüheler Horn against a backdrop of trees.

But then get going, because the last stretch is a real challenge. Several trees line the road and as soon as you reach the top, you are rewarded with a photo spot that looks almost cliché.

The Jochstubn with its lake and the Wilder Kaiser in the background. The road is the ideal guiding line and there's not much more to explain. Snap, snap, snap is the motto. Simply gorgeous!

Rest briefly and take photos

When the Jochstubn is open, you can enjoy a well-deserved local dish. After all, it was very steep. But there are also numerous photo motifs here.

The hill behind the Jochstubn has a motif that fascinated me very much. A small hut on the hill with thick clouds behind it. It almost looked like a Microsoft screensaver.

But the lake is also the photo spot for reflection photos when there is no wind. However, I was not so lucky. Nevertheless, I think the waves make the photos look powerful; don't you think?

Down into the valley between flower meadows

The route back is partly the same. Past a beautiful mountain cross and then back to the Hartkaiser. There is the enchanted mountain pasture with great motifs to photograph and also the panorama is something to behold.

Then it's down the mountain past carved figures and motifs such as a hill with a hunting lookout in front of the Wilder Kaiser.

But my personal favourite is almost at the bottom, when you can look down on Oberleiten. The view with the flower meadows, farms, forests and of course the Wilder Kaiser make this a magnificent photo spot.

Bergdoktor practice and view of Ellmau

So, now comes the end. A few hundred metres in the direction of Ellmau you will pass the famous Bergdoktor practice from the series. It is extremely difficult to take a photo here without tourists being in the picture. It is the most famous photo spot in Ellmaus. In addition, it is better to take photos here in the morning with the sun behind you.

But what is always good to photograph is the view over Ellmau. Here you can see what the mountain doctor sees before he starts his work. A mountain village with meadows in the middle of the mountains. What more could you want?! This spot is also ideal for photography at night. The lights with the Wilder Kaiser and the stars create a really romantic atmosphere.

So now back to the mountain railway and stretch out nicely. That was a long round! Great job!
